Prolog
The galloping horse was the only sound in the dark black night, on top of the wheezing stallion sat a silhouette of a cloaked, or most would think, the silhouette was actually a shike* or a “black magician” as most people call it. Hanging on it's side was a sword that could cut into the very soul of an unfortunate being.
The shike rode on the night, never stopping or slowing the stallions gait until the horse passed out collapsed out from under the shike and passed out.
The shike however fell from the horse and sunk into the shadow of a lone tree. The shike then rose from the shadow of a large rock and calmly drew it's sword. Most swords would reflect off light from the sun but this particular blade reflected darkness.
The cloaked shike walked over to the horse, looked at it's pathetic state, and put it out of it's misery. Withdrawing the blade from the poor creatures neck the blood on the sword seemed to simply turn to dust while the horse disintegrated for the wind to claim leaving no evidence of the kill.
The shike sheathed it's sword and began the rest of its destination by foot.
It was sunrise by the time he shike reached it's destination, Aneran the city of harmony. It was called that because it was the first city to have both elves and humans live there. As the shike stood in front of the looming gate one of the guards on top of the gate called out to the shike, oblivious to the fact that he was calling out to his doom, “who goes there?”
“Heeshta,” the shike replied in a icy cold voice.
“Where are you from and what is your business in Aneran,” the guard called back.
In the same tone Heeshta called back “I am from the Devil's Cavern and I wish to overthrow your kingdom.”
The guard laughed “the only beings in Devil's Cavern are demons, you don't look like a demon, and good luck taking out this fortress.”
“Who said I was a demon,” Heeshta said as he walked into the gate's shadow and rose from the rail's shadow on top of the gate, “I may not be a demon,” Heeshta thrust his sword into the guards belly who looked down at the hilt of the deadly blade, “but I'm close enough.”
Like the horse from earlier in the day the guard turned to dust along with the blood on the sword leaving a pile of armor on the rock floor Sheathing his sword Heeshta jumped down from the wall onto the ground and began his trek to the heart of the city, the castle.
Making his way through the kingdom Heeshta turned other guards or city patrols to dust, like the city guard and the horse earlier that day, and made his way deeper into the kingdom. Until finally he found the castle. Heeshta then walked as silent as a grave to the side wall, the one blocking the sun, of the looming structure. He walked into the shadow and passed over into the other side of the wall to see a pale guard. The guard snatched a horn on a mantle on the wall. Heeshta drew his sword hitting the hilt onto the guards belly knocking him to the ground which also knocked the horn out of the guard's hand. The guard got to his feet and dived for the horn only to be sliced by the deadly blade of Heeshta. The unfortunate guard then turned to dust along with the blood on Heeshta's blade. Taking a map from the uniform of the guard Heeshta walked silently deeper into the castle. Passing many rooms and halls Heeshta found his way up a tower and into the kings quarters where he lay fast asleep. Heeshta looked around the room. There were scrolls, a game of To'cksho*, and many candles. Walking around the room Heeshta put out all of the candles and the walked over to the sleeping sire. He then drew a dagger from his cloak and stabbed it into the kings head. Unlike the rest of Heeshta's victims the king didn't turn to dust but got out of his bead and stood silently on the floor. The dagger turned to dust and blew away and out of an open window. Heeshta stepped into the kings body and his skin turned white as snow. Heeshta, inside and controlling the king's body, got back in bed and slept as though nothing happened. Being in the form of the king, Heeshta will have total control of Aneran, one of the biggest city’s on the planet with the absolute biggest army. And being king would also mean taking control of the trade routs and anything that has to do with Aneran. Total control is his.
that whould be it, the prolog anyway...YAY ;)
